Not far from the Gorges du Verdon, in the Mercantour National Park, are the Gorges de Daluis. If you can move easily by car, you will need to make about 1h45 drive northeast, to reach the Married Bridge. It is a very nice spot where to jump to the elastic in the Alpes-Maritimes, because the place is simply beautiful. Renowned for its red-colored rocks, the landscape is worth a visit. From a height of 80 meters, it is a good altitude, both for beginners and for initiates.

But, before you say a little more about the essential information to get into the void, did you know that a legend turns around the bridge of the Bride? He thinks that a young woman just celebrating her wedding, decides to throw herself out of the bridge by despair, because she loves another. His family forced him to marry a man whom she did not carry in her heart. According to legend, the ghost of the bride would appear some nights under the ark of the bridge.

Bad news for those who like to contrate legends, it is not true story. Indeed, it is actually a couple of freshly married Parisians who decide to spend their wedding trip in the south of France. From a rich family, husband and wife arrive by American car in the village of Guillaumes. On 30 July 1927 at night, the couple was about to visit the Gorges de Daluis, and stopped on the bridge (formerly called the tram bridge). Alas, an hour later, the husband returns without his wife, for the latter is misguidedly fallen from the bridge, making a fall of 80 meters in the river. After regaining the body, the police concluded an accident. Yet the inhabitants are not all of the same and think that the husband would have pushed him.

Today, the suspense remains, and only a black cross among the red rocks recalls this tragic moment. This story intrigues you? Do you want to feel the emotions you can get from the 23-story fall? You want to discover a grandiose scenery, among the red rocks of the Daluis Gorges? Then go, and book with the Top Jump team.
