In the Malá Strana Castle District, and ironically in the same street as the U.S. Embassy in Prague, you will find the KGB Museum – a private collection of a Soviet amateur.
Since the KGB was never present in Czechoslovakia, this museum has no connection with Prague and its history. The private collection assembled in the KGB Museum will first offer you information about the Cold War, weapons and other objects used by the USSR’s secret agents and armed forces. As previously stated, visit the KGB Museum in Prague will allow you to learn more about the history of KGB and the Cold War. It is a private collection of weapons, oriflammations, photographs of the times and materials used by Soviet spies.
The strength of the visit lies in the character of the owner and guide of the museum: from Russia, it was he who assembled this large collection, spread over two large pieces. Present with you throughout the visit, he will present you the various weapons and objects present, with anecdotes on the Soviet period. He can also answer your questions about objects present in the museum or at the time, in English or in Russian.

How to visit the KGB Museum in Prague? Prices
You will find the KGB Museum at the following address: Vlašská 591/13, 118 00 Malá Strana . It is possible to visit it from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., from Tuesday to Sunday.
The visit is carried out by groups of several visitors and lasts a little over an hour, during which the museum door is locked. The price of the visit is 350 Czech kroner, about 13,50€.

The KGB Museum is not a real museum, it is above all a private collection of weapons and materials from the Soviet era. The visit is under the direction of the owner, who comments and presents each object to you. The museum includes only two pieces in which you will find weapons, photos, gadgets, oriflammables, material and various objects. We recommend this visit only if you are interested in weapons or this time – the museum has no connection to the history of Czechoslovakia and Prague.
