1. Lake Annecy

Of course, we couldn’t make the impasse on Lake Annecy. Most of the flying areas around the city will lead you no matter what it is above this pretty stretch of blue water. The departure takes place, ideally, at the pass of La Forclaz at an altitude of 1250 m. This is an intense moment, as the take-off takes place from the top of a steep cliff! You can also enjoy the spots located on the commune of Talloires or the Planfait area, at 950 m. Comfortably installed in your seat, the owls and the altitude birds for only company, you will hang like an eagle.

Start your course above the clear waters of Lake Annecy. You then fly over the famous teeth of Lanfon and the Tournette with white limestone walls. Later, greet the ridges of the Bauges and the Aravis before resting quietly. Strong senses guaranteed!

2. Lake Aiguebelette

4. Mount Revard

Undoubtedly one of the most beautiful places to make paragliding in Annecy... Located between Aix-les-Bains and Chambéry, Mount Revard is more than 1550 m above sea level, north of the Bauges massif. A dynamic flight session along the steep terrain awaits the most seasoned of you. The beautiful days, those who have the privilege of defying the laws of gravity can even see the Jura mountains! Splendid, the breathtaking view evokes up to the most retifed to the beauty of this world.

5. The pass of Sapenay

Near Lake Bourget, Sapenay Pass is a famous road pass in the area. Most companies and associations offering baptisms in this area reserve, according to the weather of the day, the choice of taking off from Mount Revard or the Sapenay Pass. If you are told, the pass of Sapenay is west-facing and allows you to fly to the Val de Fier in the north (or to the beautiful bay of the Chambotte in the south). You see that river away? It is the Rhone, distant but suddenly seeming close. In addition, two flights are open from 8am to 5pm: Peillat Ducret and Guichon. They are very well indicated!

6. La Clusaz

7. Mont Blanc

Yes! The most famous mountain of Europe, French pride, is only about thirty kilometers away from Annecy on the fly. Once you’re in the air, you’ll be able to fly to Annecy, drop off on the sumptuous massif of the Bauges and enjoy a view of the Chartreuse, Annecy Lake and the entire Chambéry Valley.

But to take advantage of it, you will have to have the heart well attached: the stake is to succeed in starting from a peak cliff, so jump in the void! But no worries, your veil will do the job and will soon have made you reassured by raising yourself in the heavens.

9. Montlambert

All south of the Bauges massif, Montlambert offers the most remarkable view of the Isère valley, the Lauzière, the Grand Arc massif and the Beaufortain. What is this big mountain over there? The Mont Blanc of course, which dominates the Belledonne chain! Montlambert has the advantage of being safe from the wrath of the north wind. Some paragliders even manage to rally Switzerland from the famous Totem three meters high. It is an original work in the heart of a most charming picnic area. Rates

Often, you will only have the opportunity to practice tandem paragliding during the summer, and for an oscillating rate between 70 € and 150 € . This difference is due to the factors to be taken into account: selected club, chosen service, leased equipment, options like video of your flight... In addition, depending on the duration of the flight, the price can also fly!

The advantage in Savoie is the large number of paragliding clubs present! You have the choice to compare rates and fly to the most fair price. And if you are an accomplished paraglider, in possession of your own veil, of course, it is free!

Modalities

Here are some additional information before you decide to make paragliding in Annecy:

  • This sporting activity is dangerous and subject to weather conditions. Your flight is likely to be deferred if drunks or heavy rain prevent takeoff!
  • Given the altitude, don’t hesitate to bring you warm clothes. In addition, shoes are obligatoryly closed and equipped with laces.
  • The flights last on average half an hour.
  • If you are overweight, you will need to know the maximum limit provided by the monitors.
