To get you a climb of adrenaline, to live strong emotions, rafting is surely the most complete activity for that. You will be transported in a unique vegetation and on very powerful waters. Here is a brief description:

The rio Pacuare : it is one of the most popular sites to make rafting in the world. You will descend from long wooded gorges in incredible currents that will make you experience very strong sensations. The waterfalls on the Pacuare rio are sometimes over several hundred meters. This river is considered the most beautiful in Costa Rica and its rafting descent will last about 3h30 (the longest proposed).

The Pejibaye : this river located approximately 1h30 from San José offers clear and clear waters. The rafting descent will last about 2 hours.

The rio Reventazon : its waters are quite agitated and you already know that you are in a region where the elements cannot be summed up. It is up to you to navigate between calm and fast waters more or less moderate in a sublime landscape.

The rio Savegre : here, it’s in the heart of the rainforest that you stir with your raft. Perfect to discover local fauna but also birds such as cormorans, fishermen martins or toucans. Possibility of bathing, between two rafting sessions, in the natural pools at the foot of some waterfalls.

The rio Sarapiqui : this river passes through protected areas where you can observe a wide variety of tropical birds.

Whatever the river you decide to borrow for your rafting in Costa Rica , it is necessary to know that there are formulas during the day with total support including the early morning departure from your hotel in San José , then breakfast in the rafting center, the descent in rafting itself with lunch at noon, and the return to the hotel in the afternoon.
