Ano Poli
The area behind the active town centre of Ladadika is located Ano Poli , literally "the high city". The neighbourhood is one of the parts of the city that survived the fire of 1917, so it will be felt as if the evolution here had not had any influence over time.
Here we find a traditional Balkan architecture, with spectacular views of the modern city and the sea. The main medieval fortress of the city is located there, serving as a defence point in the Byzantine and Ottoman eras.
