Travel in fashion slow
Between ocean and mountains, Woody Van saw the day at the foot of La Rhune in the beautiful village of Ascain. It is here that Mathieu Bessou, a basque of adoption for more than fifteen years, has imagined his van rental company in the South-West. For this defender of sustainable tourism, the journey in fashion slow was obvious. His passion for nature, and the desire to transmit it to others, led him naturally to the creation of his business.
With Woody Van, it offers intimate vans, designed with quality materials, for an immersive experience in green tourism in the Basque Country. His philosophy? Travel away from the crowds, in a more authentic and environmentally friendly approach. No overbooked stay, so, but a return to the essentials, to simplicity, with what it takes to escape to forget our overloaded daily life!
100% eco-friendly wooden vans
Two Volkswagen models for four people are offered for rent: the woody van "authentic", and the woody van "atypical". The first is the ideal road companion to go for adventure in temperate regions. The second, built in old wood from old barns or alpine chalets, also has hot water and heating to travel in all seasons.
Wood fitting of vans is a pure product made in France, from a collaboration with the high savoyarde company CamperVans Mont-Blanc. The result? An interior cosy and warm born of a responsible approach. The wood used comes from selective cuts, while the layout is made by local craftsmen, perpetuating high-value know-how.
The escape of proximity
No need to travel around the world to live great adventures! By putting on the escape of proximity, Woody Van makes the bet in a new way to travel more ethical, more authentic. Vehicles are new, and therefore less energy efficient. But above all, they invite to rediscover the art of bivouaquer, while naturally reducing our carbon footprint. For by definition, life in van invites less to consume and produce less waste. Eliminate the superfluous in search of essentials.
Woody Van’s ecological commitment is visible in the smallest details of vehicles. The dishes, for example, made of natural fibres or stainless steel elements. Fabrics for bedding, also, that are produced from sustainable certified cotton production. And even the cleaning kits selected for their low environmental impact. Everything is thought out so that the preservation of nature is at the heart of experience.
