History of the FOAM Photography Museum in Amsterdam
FOAM is inaugurated on 13 December 2001 with a first exhibition, Dutch Delight . It attracts 7,000 visitors and meets a great success. But shortly afterwards, the museum is closed for renovation. It is the company Benthem Crouwel that works, transforming three buildings of the Keizersgracht into a modern museum. This new museum is inaugurated on June 6, 2002 with the exhibition Regie: Paul Huf , which gathers 8,000 curious.

One of the FOAM’s flagship projects is the Foam Magazine, a quarterly magazine with each issue focused on a specific theme.
