If you are looking for a place to sleep in Poznań and you like to have everything at your disposal, it is truly in the historic centre that you have to go. The historic centre contains most of the museums to visit, countless bar terraces and historical monuments where architectural styles follow, as a witness to the passing time. It is also the object of private visits , guided not a local for more authenticity.
Like many Polish cities, Poznań was destroyed and rebuilt in the same and its centre is now part of UNESCO’s world heritage. The Hotel de Ville (Renaissance), located on the Place Stary Rynek (the square of the old market), is immanquable. To the detour of a gourmet stroll , enjoy it to taste local culinary specialties in the many taverns bordering the square. All around in the colorful and paved alleys, there are so many terraces where to taste Lech (local beer), mojito, or daiquiri, that we don’t know where to go. If you're a big vodka amateur, you can let yourself try tour of the city all in tasting!
If you like museums, do not miss the archaeological museum, the Museum of History of the City of Poznań, the Museum of Insurgency of Poznań (of June 1956), the Museum of Musical Instruments, the Military Museum of Greater Poland, the National Museum, the Ethnographic Museum or the Museum of Applied Arts. To finish in beauty, go up to the imperial castle of the city, named Zamek, a palace built in 1910 to Guillaume II Emperor of Germany. Finally, to crown everything, there are a lot of green spaces where to stroll through the beautiful days! We believe it is the best place to sleep in Poznań.

Nowe Miasto means the "new city", located on the eastern part of the city. In the northeast of the historic centre, enjoy a vast park with dimensions almost similar to that of the historic centre: the Park Cytadela , with the weapons museum. By the way to the Warta, we'll fall on it. Ostrow Tumski, the island of the cathedral. This islet in the city is a place of pilgrimage for Polish Christians because it is here that the Polish state would have been created. The Basilica of Saint-Pierre-et-Paul, in a neo-Gothic style and dating from the 10th century, is a must.
More to the east, the neighbourhood of Śródka, Lake Malta, an amusement park – ideal for children – and the Poznań zoo . The offer of hotels where to sleep in Poznań is less abundant than in the historic centre, but it does not mean that you can’t stay there: aim for accommodation in the living room. The modern city allows to stay in Poznań away from the tourist areas, offering a more local, more authentic stay.
