History of the Ca’Pesaro in Venice

When you walk along the Venice Grand Canal, you can’t miss the imposing Ca’ Pesaro building. This ancient palace, of baroque inspiration, was built in the 17th century by the architect Baldassare Longhena . Himself at the origin of the Basilica Santa Maria della Salute and the Ca ‘Rezzonico Palace. Longhena began work in 1659, but will not see the end of his work since he died a few years later. The work thus continues under the order of Gian Antonio Gaspari and ended in 1710.

The entrance fee to visit the Ca’Pesaro in Venice is 10€ . It provides access to the Museum of Modern Art and the Museum of Oriental Art.
