Unless your hotel offers a free shuttle service, the bus is undoubtedly the cheapest way to transport. The company ADO operates in every country. The buses are safe and reliable. Once in the city centre, the bus will take you to the ADO Central Station. You can easily take a taxi or other bus to your hotel. They usually circulate 24 hours a week. By taking a bus from R1 or R2, you can reach the hotel area for 12 pesos mexicanos per person.

Des colectivos transport passengers from the airport to their respective hotels. These shared vans are both more comfortable than a bus, but less expensive than a private taxi. It is also the opportunity to be able to exchange with other tourists that you may be forced to cross again on a beach or on the street. Cancún is a small world! If you are in a group, it will be more profitable to book a private van. It will be the same if your accommodation is not located in the hotel area, which is often the only one served by shared transport.

Taxis can accommodate on average between three and four people. It is not possible to choose an on-site taxi by simply exchanging with the driver. You have to reserve your place at the airport terminals 2 and 3 and set in advance. Rates are non-negotiable, which makes it possible to limit scams by avoiding travellers from being caught by unofficial taxis that can look to shoot prices.

Everything is to be arranged upstream with the manager of your accommodation. Once on site, you don’t have to queue to book a place in a taxi or wait for the bus to pass. Shuttles are normally available at any time of day or night, depending on the services offered by your hotel.
Alternative: rent a car near Cancún Airport
There are many car rental agencies at Cancún International Airport: Budget, Europcar, Avis, Hertz, or National Car Rental. Rent a car on site or online with Rentalcars For example, you can easily get to your hotel and be free of your movements during your stay. This way you can take several excursions around Cancún: Tulum, the natural park of Xel-Ha, the Xcaret Eco Park, etc. You will return your car when you fly to France. From the luxury hotel to the friendly little hostel in the centre, you will only have the embarrassment of choice for house in Cancún . The hotel area is more expensive than the city centre.
