Transfer between Vaclav Havel Airport and Prague

Are you leaving for the Czech Republic and visiting Prague's charms? Discover with us how to transfer Vaclav Havel to Prague!

Located 15 kilometres west of the Czech capital, the tributary at Vaclav Havel Airport continues to grow from year to year: in 2015, more than 10 million tourists have transited there, for visit Prague or to catch a match. Like me when I travel, you wonder how to transfer from Vaclav Havel Airport to Prague? Often, the metro or airport shuttle are the most economical means to reach a capital. Well in Prague, there is no train or metro line to connect the heart of the city. Here are the transport solutions to make your transfer from or to Prague Vaclav Havel airport.

Public bus transfer

Two bus lines allow you to reach Dejvická Metro A from Terminals 1 and 2. These are buses 100 or 119, easily recognizable to their red colour. The journey takes about 20 minutes and costs only 1,15 €. Your tickets can be purchased in the aeroplane lobby, in the distributors scheduled for this purpose at the bus stop or on the bus. A few euros will have to be converted to Czech crowns, the local official currency. 119 buses circulate every 20 minutes from 4:15 to 11:30.

Other bus lines will take you to other Prague metro stations: line 191 (from 5am to 00:30am), and 510 (from 00:15am to 5am). Another solution is to board the company buses Airport Express , which allows you to reach the main station of Prague for 60 CZK, or 2,30 €. This is the easiest solution, which I personally chose when I arrived in Prague, because the public transport network can be a bit confusing for a novice. The bus ride Airport Express takes about 35 minutes and makes it possible to transfer Vaclav Havel airport (terminal 1 and 2) to Masarykovo train station and Náměstí Republiky (Republic Square, city centre).

Transfer to airport shuttle

You can also choose the Prague airport shuttle, which is a minibus shared with several travellers. This vehicle is a little more expensive than the bus – from 9,90 € per person (19,90€ to go/return) - but it is an easy and easy way of transport to transfer from Prague Airport. The service operates daily 24 hours a day, but depending on the number and number of groups that have booked the same shuttle, the journey can last for more than one hour due to any stops requested by passengers.

Taxi transfer

If you do not master the Czech language or English, or the public transport network, then the transfer from and to Prague airport by taxi is made for you. This is not the cheapest solution because it will cost you at least 17 € for a four-person race and €25 to six people. But the driver will nevertheless drop you off at the foot of your accommodation in Prague : what to avoid slaloming between the legs of the Praguois with your suitcases in the aisles of the buses. Here are two taxi companies, among others: AAA Radiotaxi and 1.1.1 Radiocab.
