What exactly is the world heritage of humanity?

Some corners of the planet are unique, so a list is established to update and keep them.

UNESCO is “the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization” which defends the peace and spirit of man. It has established a classification exceptional heritages on our planet: architectures, natural areas, or places that combine the two characteristics. These are legacy that must be preserved for the future.

1031 properties are listed throughout the territory

The organization has ensured that cultural and natural heritages of each continent are represented so that there is a global balance in the ranking. Each geographic area has unique monuments, ecosystems or mixed spaces. The conservation, management and transmission to future generations of property on the list must be values respected by States that have them.

In addition to the measures that the government can take to defend them, "The World Heritage Volunteer" is a project that brings together volunteers to better protect the heritage of humanity. A sort of international backup inspired by 7 wonders of the ancient world : such timeless works cannot be lost.

Why is there a list of the world heritage at risk?

Sites present in the ranking of heritages at risk are threatened to disappear. UNESCO has put in place several criteria to determine which buildings or natural places on the planet are victims of scourges that will eventually lead to their loss. The causes can be multiple: armed conflicts, pollution, deforestation, erosion of time...

If some places on Earth are completely abandoned, it is necessary to know that it is always possible to save them with a little will and a collective consciousness. The intervention of the drones to reconstitute the destroyed or damaged monuments is, in particular, evidence that Man is not only able to destroy, even in places where war dominates as in the Middle East .
