How to leave “ tips” on travel abroad?
There is nothing more frustrating than trying to guess who give a tip , how and when, especially when you are in a foreign country. You will find yourself face to face with employees in airports and stations, hotels and guest rooms, restaurants and cafes... Should you give everyone a tip? What about shuttle drivers, taxis, tourist guides and concierges?
The fact is that rules and customs differ from country to country , so it is difficult to know how much you should “ tipper”. Below you will find a practical table to prevent you either from giving too much or not leaving enough pieces.
While the tip is Standard In the United States and in North America in general, there is no use in many parts of the world. In fact, in some countries like China and Japan, people will be offended if you offer a tip for services rendered. Before leaving on a trip , it is always a good idea to look for what is practiced in terms of tips in the countries you will visit.
