Transportation in Paris: how to move to Paris?

Where to remove it?

You will find the Paris Tour package in all metro, RER, or Transilian stations RATP network. Go to the windows, or to the vending machines.

How much does it cost? From 3,10€.

If you don’t want to spend on subterrain trips, no worries! The city of Paris offers 12,000 bicycles Velib , and offers formulas adapted to your stay (you can subscribe to the internet upstream of your trip).

  • For a pass 24 hours, we have to count 5€.
  • Concerning the pass of 7 days, you have to spend 15€.
  • Finally,annual subscription costs 37,20€, which remains extremely profitable if you are in the capital several times a year.

The most comfortable: taxis and VTC

If you prefer comfort in your wallet, then taxis and VTC will be choice options to move to Paris. Also, in the absence of metros after about 1 hour in the morning, it is surely the best way of transport for a night trip.

Paris has more than 18,000 taxi drivers who will only wait for you at the exit of stations or airports. You can also call one in the street, or via the number of one of the companies that will be on the internet. Support costs 2,60€ , then the price kilometer is 1,06€ , 32,10€ per hour, from Monday to Saturday between 10am and 5pm . Outside these days and times, we must add majorations.

If you prefer to use VTC, you can go to Marcel, Uber or Kapten smartphone apps.

From Paris airports

Roissy-Charles de Gaulle

Several options are available to you to do the transfer between the Roissy-Charles de Gaulle airport and Paris.

  • Take the RER B from CDG Airport to the centre of Paris, for example, in Châtelet. Count about 45min for 7,35€.
  • You can also take the KingssyBus to the Opera, for 45min also, with a tariff 13,20€.

Orly

Several options are available to you to do the transfer between Orly Airport and Paris.

  • For 10€, you can take theOrlybus from Orly to Draint-Rochereau (14th rounded).
  • You can also choose theOrlyval who will take you to Antony, in the suburbs of Paris, on the RER B for 12,80€.
  • The last solution is to take the tram n°7 from Orly to Villejuif – Louis Aragon in 30 minutes. There, line 7 of the subway will take you to Paris. This will cost you the price of a simple metro ticket!
