1. The Circus of Fer-à-Cheval- Le Bout du Monde

Are you dreaming of leaving at the World Cup? Know that this hike will lead you there for sure. Discover a magical and unreal place: Cirque-du-Fer-à-Cheval to the Bout du Monde. Very popular in Haute-Savoie, the trail starts in this semi-circle formed by impressive 600-metre cliffs from which its name is “ Cirque du Fer-à-Cheval”.

Bordered by the torrent Giffre, the route will then guide you to the "Word of the World". And the place bears its name well, with about thirty immense cascades flowing here and there in the midst of this lost paradise. The landscapes are beautiful and small and large will enjoy this natural gem in the heart of the mountains.

3. The promenade of Lake Gers

This hike is a pleasant walk leading to the beautiful Lake of Gers. Easy and accessible to all, the first part is made of undergrowth in the middle of the fir trees.

The landscape changes on the second portion with an ascent in the heart of the alpine pastures in a beautiful and green setting with a backdrop, some chalets at the summits of Sixt-Fer-à-Cheval. Finally and recognizable among all: the grand arrival at the sublimated Gers Lake and its turquoise blue water!

5. The Grand Pré via the Chalets de Sales

If you need a break, a well-deserved stop at the Sales Shelter is the ideal before continuing to the Belvedere. You can enjoy the view, but also go to meet marmots and ubiquitous in this true Alpine zoo.

By passing through the Cascade de la Pleureuse and the refuge of Anterne Alfred Wills, it is quite simple on your way everything will be beautiful to see. The wild and preserved place also represents a true paradise for animals! You can then cross marmots and ubiquitous swept in the middle of the meadows.

Ascension is not the simplest, the lake deserves itself and for the most courageous it may be the opportunity to enjoy a swim once arriving at destination.

Good to know: Keep an eye attentive, during spring and early summer periods, the marmots are many to go to the shores of Lake Anterne.
