Elected the best attraction park in the world, Puy du Fou is located in Vendée, in the commune Les Epesses and was founded in 1989 by Philippe de Villiers. What to see and what to do at Puy du Fou?
The shows
This park is not a theme park itself. It offers eleven day shows, two night shows and about twenty animations or original experiences. It is important to get the show schedules on the day of your visit, at the entrance of the park or on the website Puy du Fou, because they vary very frequently.
Day shows
- The Bal des Oiseaux Fantômes : Installed around the ruins of the old castle, hundreds of majestic birds emerge and fry with their giant wings;
- The Sign of the Triumph : enter the arena and experience the fury of the Cirque Games;
- The Vikings : tremble at the attack of the terrible warriors of the north who came to plunder the peaceful village of Fort de l’An Mil;
- The Secret of the Lance : in front of the immense medieval rempart, follow this epic knight and fantastic in the middle of the Hundred Years War;
- Mousquetaire de Richelieu : live a romantic adventure of cape and sword, rhymed by the duels of musketeers, flamenco ballets and equestrian prowess;
- The Last Panache : follow the glorious destiny of an officer of the French Navy in this show called “Best Creation of the World”, at its creation in 2017;
- The Knights of the Round Table : great illusions and supernatural will captivate you to immerse yourself in the fantastic universe of King Arthur’s legend;
- Les Automates Musiciens : Respond to the call of the field guard and enjoy for a moment the spectacle of our “Autoes Musiciens” ;
- The Great Carillon : when the monumental clock of the XVIIIth Village is filled, its bells ring the most famous airs;
- The Great Waters : you are the guests of the famous composer Jean-Baptiste Lully to relive the great hours of Versailles ;
- Ballet des Sapeurs : come to meet our young actors at the "B Bourg 1900" and follow their perpeties in this dynamic and colorful show!
Immersive shows
- The First Kingdom : follow the destiny of Clovis, the first king of the Franks, in a dazzling immersive universe;
- The Renaissance of the Castle : by entering the rich and flamboyant setting of the authentic Château du Puy du Fou, immerse yourself in the atmosphere of the sixteenth century;
- The Lovers of Verdun : immerse yourself in the agonizing world of the First World War and experience intense experience alongside the Poilus;
- The Mystery of Perugia : live a real adventure by taking a trip around the world with the famous explorer "Mr. de La Pérouse" !
Night shows
- Cinéscénie : attend the world's largest night show and experience a moving and unforgettable experience! Cinéscénie takes place on a scene of 23 hectares with more than 2000 actors and lasts 1h40. It takes place on Fridays and Saturday nights during the summer (from July 3 to September 18). Tickets are specific and booking is mandatory.
- Fire Noces : be the witnesses of the most romantic weddings and let yourself be carried away by the grandiose memories that resurface on the lake as soon as the night falls! This show lasts about 30 minutes and takes place every evening from Sunday to Thursday, from June to August. See the calendar to see the dates of this show from September to November.

- The Imaginary World of La Fontaine : to celebrate its 400th anniversary, Jean de La Fontaine invited himself to the Puy du Fou and embellished his Imaginary World;
- La Clairière aux Daims : come to meet the animals of the "Vikings" show and discover their natural light;

How to visit the Puy du Fou?
To fully enjoy your visit to Puy du Fou, here are some tips to consider:
- Privigation 2 full days to take time and see a maximum of things;
- Come on. early morning, preferably at the opening of the park (9h30);
- On the eve of your visit, get a plan and program of the park: it will prevent you from losing time on the same day and eventually, to prepare your own circuit;
- If the park offers what to eat, know that picnic areas are also available to visitors;
- Before each show/seance, leave a margin of 20 to 30 minutes in advance to be sure to attend.
How do I get to Puy du Fou?
By car
Being very well indicated, access to the park is quite simple. Parking free are located at the entrance of the park and close to the hotels. For motorhomes, parking is free daily but paid at night from 1h to 7h in the morning (10€/night). Electricity and water are available on site.
By train
If you want to come by the train, the nearest TGV station isAngers. Des shuttles are available from this station (only on reservation). This transfer lasts 1:30 and take place 3 times a day.
By plane
Finally, if you arrive by plane, know that the Puy du Fou is located in 1 hour Airport Nantes Atlantique. Calendar and schedules of Puy du Fou
For the 2021 season, the park opens its doors to 10 June 2021 to 7 November. However, since September, the park is not open at the beginning of the week. Think about their calendar beforehand.
