1. The wreck of Don Pedro

The wreck of Don Pedro rests near the port of Ibiza. 142 meters long and 20 meters wide , it is one of the largest in the Mediterranean and even in Europe!

The boat thus gits on one side a few 40 meters deep . The marine fauna and flora obviously took possession of the place since its sinking. The spot therefore houses many local species, such as serioles or nudibranches.

With a maximum depth of 46 meters, this exceptional spot is not, however, for beginners . Because of its depth, you must be a confirmed to discover it in full, and especially to enter the wreck.

2. La Plataforma Marina de Formentera

You will find the charming little island of Formentera only 30 minutes of Ibiza.

The latter houses an incredible diving spot, the Plataforma Marine. This site was once a fish farm, now engulfed, and is now full of wild life.

In this way you can admire a multitude of local species, such as barracudas, murenas or scorpio fish. Sometimes even cross dolphins!

Depending on your level, you can dive up to 33 meters on this spot, one of the best places to dive in Ibiza.

3. Dado Pequeño

The Dado Pequeño is the rock that unfortunately made the Don Pedro sink, cited above! At first sight, this spot does not seem so exceptional. But once on site, you will discover a very rich marine life, with cripples, octopuses or barracudas.

This dive spot in Ibiza is made up of several more or less deep areas that will satisfy all levels ! You will also enjoy sublime colors, the sea oscillates here from turquoise blue to indigo blue.

4. Isla Margaritas

Isla Margaritas is located on the west coast of Ibiza. This diving spot is renowned for the beauty of its underwater and terrestrial landscapes. As with the Dado Pequeño, the colors of the sea are particularly beautiful in this place.

You will evolve here mainly along a vertical wall, and in the middle of caves, cracks and cracks. The latter houses a flourishing aquatic life. The spot is accessible to beginner and confirmed divers, with depths ranging 15 to 45 metres .

5. La Cueva de La Luz – the Lighted Cave

Another exceptional spot where diving in Ibiza is the Cueva de La Luz, the Grotte illuminated in French.

This place is hard to reach and you will need book several weeks in advance to enjoy it. Do not hesitate to contact local clubs well before your arrival.

On site you will discover a magnificent cave, a few meters below the sea level. Inundated with water by a submarine gallery, it lets sunlight a few rays through holes that come to illuminate the place.

The spot is amazing, but unfortunately it is reserved for experienced divers !

6. El Faro – The Light

The Lighthouse is another wreck, located on the east coast of Ibiza. Unlike what his name might suggest, this spot is not a lighthouse, but rather a beacon.

It once warned boats of a possible danger. Today, it is a great diving place, with three sites suitable for all levels .

The spot starts at only 2 meters deep. The more experienced divers will then be able to descend to 12 meters depth, and even up to 24 meters deep .

As for the spot itself, it is presented in the form of a rocky platform where a superb underwater fauna and flora are gathered.

Snorkeling

Diving is not the only nautical activity to discover the seabed. With a mask and tuba, or even a pair of palms, you can easily admire the fauna and flora of the Balearic coast.

7. Cala Conta

Cala Conta , also called Comte Beach, is surely one of the most beautiful beaches of Ibiza, and also one of the most popular.

But it is also one of the best snorkeling spots in Ibiza. The crystal clear waters of Cala Comte offer a great visibility to swimmers.

On the one hand you can follow a long rocky promontory, lined with fishermen’s huts. On the other, you will find a long stretch of rocky coast that houses a beautiful marine fauna and flora.

8. Cala Xarraca

This beautiful beach in the north of the island is an ideal place for boating and especially for snorkeling. This pretty bay is characterized by a steep coastline, superb rocky bottoms and outcrops.

Well sheltered, it also has shallow crystalline waters. In this way you will find an amazing marine life, which you will have leisure to admire with your mask and tuba.

9. Platja de S’Estanyol

S’Estanyol Beach is located in a small and pretty bay near Roca Llisa. Not accessible, relatively desert, the place is a great spot where to make snorkeling in Ibiza.

Here you will find many rocks, as well as fishermen's huts. Marine fauna is particularly abundant in these places.

Just think about planning shoes suitable when you evolve in the middle of rocks and huts.

10. Punta Galera

The last unmissable spot where to make snorkeling in Ibiza is the beach of Punta Galera. This place is located north of the island, not far from Cala Xarraca.

It is located a few steps from the village of Portinatx. This incredible spot is full of underwater fauna and flora. With its crystal clear waters, you will have no trouble admiring it, swimming with caution around the rocks. Here you will have a vast playground and discoveries.
