After a walk in the old town, discover the other essential monuments of Ibiza such as the Episcopal Palace or the wonderful castle that overlooks the places. Frequented during the summer season, we recommend you go there in the morning to enjoy these cribs to absolutely discover during a road trip to Ibiza.
After this first stopover in paradise, we invite you to discover Sant Antoni de Portmany. At first sight, we almost imagine you in the Caribbean! At the beginning of the evening, it is time to reach Santa Agnès de Corona. This small town, surrounded by agricultural lands, inspires serenity. You can see vineyards, but also flower fields to immortalize with your camera. There, the buildings are particularly old and are whitened to lime. The change will be total!

We are now starting the last stage of this road trip to Ibiza. This makes us cross the land to reach the west: Santa Eulària des Riu. Before joining this new stage, we offer a stop in Santa Gertrudis de Fruitera. There you will find a village lost in the land: a chance for you to better understand the island culture.
First, visit the imposing church of the island: a religious building that dates back to the 18th century. Then, lose yourself in the middle of the houses bleached with lime and find the small local artisans to make a shopping session. Indeed, this village is full of artisanal shops where you will certainly find small treasures to bring home or to offer. Don’t hesitate to eat in one of the city’s restaurants to eat good cheese and drink local wine (or a good juice of fresh fruit!).
After this enchanted parenthesis, you will win Santa Eulària des Riu. This small tourist town is marked by the Roman occupation during a past era. It is also an important place to understand the mix of cultures that took place on the island with a Roman heritage so, but also primitive and Muslim, before the Catalan reconquest of the 13th century.
In Santa Eulària des Riu, we recommend that you make the hippie market: a local event that echoes the Ibiza of the floating period under the French regime. This hippie atmosphere is now famous and has shaped the identity of the place. After a tour at the market, walk on the marina or to the S’Argamassa platja.
To deepen the stage:
- The numerous churches of Santa Eulària des Riu and its ethnological museum;

First, we invite you to discover the church of the village, which dates from 1785, and which is worth a look. Then walk around the village and enter the small local shops. You will find everything that Ibizian tradition has better. We also recommend you get out of the beaten paths to admire the coves around, and refresh yourself. For as everywhere on the island, the water of the north-eastern coast is wonderful.
Continue your way to Aiguës Blanques. You will discover a very beautiful beach to stroll a part of the afternoon. It is one of the most pristine beaches on the island, where you can enjoy a swim or simply lie down on the fine sand.
Finally go to Sant Joan de Labritja, which marks our last stop of this journey. This village is one of the least populated areas of the island. So it’s an ideal spot to relax. In the vicinity you will find large forests and some agricultural areas. It is indeed in this part of Ibiza that there is a large part of the cultures.
Close to nature, you will be able to hike a few steps on marked paths, or simply rest away from a pine. We also invite you to explore the beach of Benirras, taken by the hippie communities. Further north, you can also visit Portinatx: a more lively city!
