Santa Cruz and the cathedral, historical heart

This is where most of the tourists are slaughtered, which stir on day and night. This very colorful neighborhood seems to have preserved its authenticity of the time, thanks to its maze of alleys and small squares shaded with "mile" scents. There you will find the majority of the monuments to not miss, as well as tapas bars – an institution here! -, traditional restaurants, white houses, typically sevillanas of picturesque architecture, palaces and patios flavored with flowers. Don’t miss the arena district, “El Arenal”, if you like tauromachie and corridas (April to October). To enjoy social life, holiday and cultural visits, this is where you have to rent an apartment: close to everything.

Triana, the popular sevillan

On the left bank of Guadalquivir, Triana is more popular, friendly, lively, it is also a pleasant area where to stay in Seville. Triana takes air from small Andalusian village: staying in Triana is immersing himself in Andalusia while being safe from the hordes of tourists who walk around the city centre all the holy day (and at night). Formerly the Gypsy district, it is now a den for the bohemians – gentrification obliges – but the accommodation rates to stay are very affordable.

Alameda de Hércules

If in Rennes, the " Rue Saint-Michel" surnames the " rue de la soif", then Alameda de Hércules deserve the same sobriquet. It’s the corner of the thirsty and avid noctambula of flamenco music and the whole world. The neighborhood removes its cape from a malfamated area that sticks to its skin to look at that of a trendy neighbourhood. There you go on the terrace to get drunk and eat tapas. If the outbreak of young and festive neighbourhoods – it’s a pleonasm, we’re in Andalusia... – don’t bother you, it’s an excellent place to stay, with housing prices that can be very cheap.

El Centro, Seville shopping

This is the neighborhood where to sleep para consumir , to consume. This area consists mainly of clothing stores and large commercial signs. The neighborhood is deserted in the middle of the day, frogs in the morning and evening but be careful: the activity falls in the evening. If you are looking for animation, book a hotel or apartment for rent in another neighbourhood.

The Macarena, in all peace
Photo credit: Flickr – Cinthia Bravo
It is a small village in the city, where several atmospheres mix. On the one hand, the noctambules of the adjacent neighbourhood – Alameda – who come to sit down a bit. On the other hand, the families who beat the streets for the oldest market in the city, calle Feria. The halls, their scents and fish tapas are really to be done. To stay in Seville, it is a good alternative between the unbridled party, the center too dense, and the quietness of affordable apartments, while enjoying the Andalusian evenings, typical of Spain.
