The explanation

Although it’s amazing, it’s only a few years ago that science focused on this strange phenomenon that terrorizes all the inhabitants of Knaresborough for centuries. The results showed that water contained a very rich component of minerals, which has the effect of petrifying all these objects. In reality, researchers indicate that this is only a layer of limestone that is solidified with time.

A limestone training that everyone already knows, because it is actually the same process as for stalagmites and stalactites. Only in the well of Knaresborough, this one is much faster. A few weeks are enough to produce this karstic layer on objects. This study has made it possible to reassure many of the inhabitants, but among them many remain sceptical, believing heart and soul that this well is cursed!
