A real concentric core of 3 km2, Innere Stadt is the first district, where there are many cafes and restaurants to taste the famous Sacher pie. Until 1850, it was the city of Vienna itself. As such, it houses the majority of historical buildings to be visited. Stephan’s Dom , Opera House, Hofburg , the National Library, the Rathaus, some 60 museums – nothing but that! – and great signs for a successful shopping trip. It is also the neighborhood where to sleep the most expensive.
