This is the second city of the cobblestone Alt Empordà and it is one of the only cities in the province of Girona not to suffer the imprecations of the 2011 economic crisis thanks to its large stock of real estate and hotel infrastructure. The port of Roses

Second largest fishing port of Alt Empordà, at the eastern end of the beach, a walk along the coast will lead you to the marina with superb views of the Mediterranean Sea. So you will see the Trinity Castle there – Castillo de la Trinitat – two guns of the 18th century naval artillery and an anchor of the Roman era.

When you get away from the coast, don’t miss the megalithic set of Roses, namely the dolmen Creu d’en Cobertella, remains dating from the Upper Paleolithic and Neolithic. Continuing to the east towards Cadaqués, explore the Pointe de Murtra and Cap Morfeu, Punta Falconera, Cala Rostella Beach, Pointe de la Ferrera, to Cape Norfeu.

They are a cyrielle of coves and small islands that are not frequented for the greatest paradise of eyes.

With an area of 4,731 hectares, this protected wetland consists of lagoons, reeds, meadows, marshes, ponds and a beach where the rivers Muga and Fluvià converge, on the edge of the Mediterranean Sea. You may be able to contemplate a wide variety of migratory birds if you are lucky.
