Would you like to stay in Salou, visit its curiosities, be on the sea by having the opportunity to do everything without taking the car? The city center has many hotels where to sleep near the bars where to party.
In the center, visit the Torre Vella de Salou – literally the "old tower of Salou" – a fortified tower of the 16th century. It is today an art gallery containing paintings and ancient objects. The municipal market - Mercat Municipal – and its popular atmosphere will delight your taste buds. Walk along the sea in the park Barquilla Pesquera Decorativa with its fountains and palm-lined alley reminding the Rambla de Barcelona . The long beach of Salou, with the colorful letters – that remind the Plaza de España in Santa Cruz de Tenerife – allows you to swim close to your hotel: beach of the lift, beach of the ponant. Walk on the Chemin de la Ronde – Camino de la Ronda – and you will find the beach dels Pilons.

PortAventura

The largest amusement park in southern Europe, PortAventura is located near Salou. The park is divided into several sections, each with a different theme, and where you can climb to the Russian mountains among the world’s most insane and fastest, as well as many rides for children. Close to the main park is the Costa Caribe Aquatic Park, a huge water park with slides, basins, fountains, beaches and all kinds of aquatic attractions.
PortAventura also has several hotels (Hotel Mansión de Lucy, Hotel Gold River, Hotel PortAventura, Hotel Caribe, Hotel El Paso) – an ideal way to combine the chills of the theme park, with fabulous holidays by the sea. These hotels allow you to sleep as close to PortAventura Park, in order to make the most of the attractions early in the morning until late in the evening.

Capellans

The main attraction of the neighborhood is beaches and amusement parks if you have children. The beach Capellans , the Platja dels Llenguadets, and the Beach Llarga offer beautiful stretches of sand where you can relax. The more you advance east, the more pine forests replace concrete, giving a wilder side. Many hotels and accommodations in Capellans are on the streets: to choose if the centre of Salou is too crowded.

Cap de Salou

Here is a must in the city of Salou: the Cap de Salou , east of Capellans, with its beaches and small rocky coves lined with pines. Less frequented, they are not without recalling the Breton coast – if so! - but with swimming, snorkeling and tan on the program. At the end, a walk leads to the Salou lighthouse, offering a beautiful view of the sea and the Catalan coast. Where are you looking to stay in Cap de Salou? No problem, many rooms to sleep await you.

Platja de la Pineda

Finally, last area to sleep in Salou: Platja de la Pineda east. The beach is so wide that we almost believe in the Landes. Many shops and terraces are spreading on the west side of the Passeig de Pau Casals, on the seafront. A large wild park with pine trees on the beach will make you feel like in the countryside (if you hide the marine ships from cruises, at anchorage in the port of Tarragona).
