Do you make a road trip through the isolated lands of Western Australia? This is in which area to stay in Perth!
Capital of Western Australian State, Perth is the fourth city of Australia with 2,021,2100 inhabitants (2014). Founded in 1829, Perth has a relatively recent history, although the Aborigines have occupied the territory for at least 40,000 years. It is the city of more than one million of the world’s most isolated inhabitants: because of the vastness of Australian territory, Perth is closer to Jakarta and Singapore only Sydney , Melbourne or Brisbane . Built on the banks of the Swan River, it covers 5,386 km2 and is a major economic and financial hub in Australia. Staying in Perth will be expensive but easy: rent prices are high on the whole island-continent but the offer of accommodation is abundant, from the hotel to the typical Australian youth hostel: the backpacker hostel . Coastal city, Perth has wide beaches wet by the Indian Ocean.
Finding a neighborhood where to sleep in Perth is based on the price and atmosphere of the neighborhood, between the hustle of a western city and the relaxed atmosphere of a subtropical city. This is in which area to stay in Perth.
Central Business District

The CBD is – as in all Anglo-Saxon cities – the central district, where most of the social life is located, at the foot of large buildings, cafés and shopping centres. This was our first city visited in Australia (2012-2013) and what hits Perth is the difficult assimilation of Europeans with the Aboriginal people: marginalized and stigmatized, unadapted to Western urban life, we see many Aborigines (SDF and/or unemployment) – with the accidental or sick face – wandering in a state of ebriety in the street or in the parks, as a witness to the colony
Perth city centre is built around Murray Street, Hay Street and St Georges Terrace. On its western side, the emblematic Kings Park and its vast botanical garden – 400 hectares, 250 plant species and 100 animal species, allowing a typical Australian lifestyle: walking, cycling, outdoor barbecues – makes one feel like in the countryside, a green lung where to recharge.
Numerous shops harass passers-by, in an incessant ballet of cars and workers: in short, the CBD is a busy and dynamic neighborhood where to sleep in Perth.
