These two locations are part of Chengdu's modern city centre. Tian Fu Square , it is a large public and central square where gigantic buildings killing the clouds stand around the fountains of the small park. Children, mothers, old men walk peacefully. The luminous signs scintillate from all sides when the shadow comes, not far from the imposing statue of 30 meters high of a man who has marked China forever: Mao Zedong . There you will find many food stalls where to eat fruit, skewers, small dishes to take away - many shops and a groubling crowd at any time of the day: it is a very tourist area.
Not far, find the neighbourhood ChunXi Lu The commercial lung of the city. It is a pedestrian avenue with more than 700 shops. It is therefore here that you have to stay in Chengdu if you like shopping and/or shopping areas. In the small ramifications of the neighborhood – the small adjacent streets - you will find an emblem of Chinese culture at the service of your stomach: street food from the neighborhood, to eat very good dishes to cheap.

This neighborhood is located to the east of the city – served by the metro – is a residential area with many bars and nightclubs, a music park – Dong jiao ji yi - many shops and restaurants. If you like shopping, active and where you can party, it is a good choice of neighborhood where to sleep in Changdu. It is also a green area: along the Shahe River, there are green areas and parks, like the Shahe River. Duobaosi Park or Shahe Park.

Sansheng
South of the city, San Sheng turns out to be a nice neighborhood to live. Choose this area if you want to stay in Chengdu for the long term or if you want to escape the frequented arteries that can be noisy and polluted.
The flower market, embalming the area of its good scents, is nearby. The area is also surrounded by bars and typical restaurants where to taste the delights of Chinese cuisine, and in addition, staying in Sansheng is not expensive at all. This is the hippie and bobo district of Chengdu: many artists have elected their homes.

Leshan

This town south of Chengdu is located next to Mont Emei, at 1h30 drive south of Chengdu. Loger to Leshan allows you to go hiking on Mount Emei, one of the 4 sacred mountains of China, at 3,099 meters above sea level. In the city, don't miss Haitang Park , a lung of greenery bigger than the city center, Great Buddha – the largest Buddha in the world before the 20th century - many bars, restaurants and hotels where to stay.
