Ancient ancient village perched on the hill and a steep cliff, with its port below, Kaleiçi is undoubtedly the most visited area of Antalya. Walk through the narrow and paved streets of the old town, where you can also photograph the historical monuments that the neighborhood houses in large numbers. For example, the Kesic Minare – an ancient Roman temple, then the Byzantine church, then a mosque in the truncated minaret -, the canneled minaret of the Yivli Mosque, the Gate of Hadrian, or the Tower of Horloge. South of the neighborhood, the botanical garden – Karaalioglu Park – offers stunning views of the cliffs and mountains in the distance, surrounding Antalya. You will also see the Hidirlik tower.
In the alleys of the old town, the shopping streets Atatürk Caddesi and Kazim Ozalp Caddesi will be your den if you want to bring back diverse and varied memories. But you'll surely be squandered by many traders, who will ask you to try to sell you souvenirs. In the evening, let yourself be tempted by the famous Turkish baths! With its splendid beaches to the west of Antalya, the neighbourhood and the coast have a lush orchard (citrus, peach, olives, apricots, figs, bananas) with open sky.
