What are the most dangerous cities in the world?

Ranking of the world's most dangerous cities

Drug trafficking, gang war, political instability, corruption and poverty. So many motives that transform some cities of the world into a real stern!

Unsurprisingly, Latin America is the world’s most deadly region. However, it focuses only 9% of the world's population. It is unfortunately the theatre of 28% of the world’s murders according to the United Nations.

The most dangerous city in the world is in San Pedro Sula in Honduras with approximately 169 homicides per 100,000 inhabitants. This ranking is based on 2012 figures and, for some cities where data are missing, 2011.

Obviously, the study does not count the deaths identified in war zones and ethnic conflicts.

In this " Top 50" of the world's most dangerous cities, 41 are located in Latin America. A little more surprising, 5 American cities are also on the list. Indeed, the United States is a very contradictory nation from this point of view in relation to their standards of life. Asia is only little represented because given population density, even with a very large number of homicides, the percentages remain low. The most dangerous cities are in Latin America!
