The famous rice fields in Bali have an ingenious irrigation system called “ subak " This system was created in the 9th century, whose basic idea was derived from a philosophical concept called “ Tri Hita Karana ": to establish a stable relationship between spirit, man and nature. The goal is to create canals and dams to manage rice fields in a fair and appropriate manner, to avoid waste.

This hyper-complete ecological system can also detach itself from collective work. In fact, rice farming is important to know that in addition to rice cultivation, other activities are also present. Therefore, it will not be rare for you to see a lot of ducks patauger in the middle of the rice fields if you walk. Why? Duck farming is important in rice fields, as they clean and fertilize rice fields.

The time of consecration sounded for these rice fields and especially this system, in June 2012, when the rice fields of Jatiluwih are listed on the UNESCO World Heritage Site.
