Visit Asti: what are the best things to do and see in this emblematic city of Piedmont?

Asti is an average city of Piedmont just over an hour’s drive Turin . The region around Asti is best known for its wine and Palio. On a trip to Piedmont, it is a destination not to be missed and a good point to visit the surrounding cities and villages. It is also a good place to spend your evening in the pedestrian streets of the city to eat at the restaurant.

1. The Cathedral of Santa Maria Assunta

It is one of the most important religious buildings in Piedmont. With this architecture similar to that of Turin, this cathedral (which dates from the Vth or VIth century) is to be visited absolutely if you are passing to Asti.
