History of the Neues Museum in Berlin

Visiting the Neues Museum in Berlin is also discovering a monument to the heavy past of Germany. This museum was designed by the classical architect Friedrich August Stüler , pupil of Karl Friedrich Schinkel, and built between 1843 and 1855 as an extension of the Altes Museum (the Old Museum), whose success led to too much attendance. - Thanks to the parts Antikensammlung , adds a collection dedicated to the Roman world and to classic antiques. In particular, you can observe valuable objects from the Treasure of Priam, discovered by archaeologist Heinrich Schliemann, among other ancient works from the provinces of the Roman Empire and Cyprus, mainly.

Temporary collections and events

Des temporary exhibitions , over several months or years, as well as shows, workshops and conferences are regularly organized in the Neues Museum in Berlin.
