History of Tempelhof Park
Former Berlin International Airport located in the Tempelhof-Schöneberg district, the Flughafen Berlin-Tempelhof has marked the history of the city and the country. In service since the 1920s, it was at this airport that the recent Lufthansa company chose to settle there in 1926. The airport quickly became one of the most affluent air sites. At the time, Tempelhof also beats records about the size of the building, which, before the construction of the Pentagon, placed itself at the top of the world’s largest buildings!
The Americans take control of it after the Second World War. During the Cold war Tempelhof Airport plays a major role in the "air bridge" of 1948-1949. The fall of the Berlin Wall brings Tempelhof into an era of essentially commercial vocation. Due to the massive losses recorded, the airport was finally closed in 2008, to resume life in 2010 in the form of the park we know today and now belongs to the public domain.

You can’t visit the Tempelhof Park without taking a few steps on one of the airport’s tracks! For the most athletic, be sure, there are a lot of other ways to get in touch with the tarmac: dance, skateboard, boxing, acrobatics, etc. With more than six kilometers of trails and traffic routes, the airport offers you an ideal setting to try kite-surfing (with wheels!), sail tank, rollerblad or to unroll your bike.
Surrealist? Yes. You're in Tempelhof! You can also enjoy a small football or a football game on one of the park’s lawns.

2. Gardening

The mini-golf is called Nuture Mini Art Golf. It is located in Columbiadamm. It's open. 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Monday to Friday, from 12:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. on Saturday and from 12:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Sunday.

8. The Fernsehturn
