Take a look at the “Venice of Vietnam”, Hoi An, which a French photographer succeeds in sublimating through his camera!
Hoi An is a city located on the central coast of Vietnam . This ancient city is known for its tranquility and beautiful landscapes. In addition to the traditional quarter of the old town (a UNESCO World Heritage Site) and its pretty yellow walls, Hoi An also has large beaches, green rice fields separated by small roads that are ideal for cycling tours.
The city was a merchant port of Southeast Asia from the 15th to the 19th century. Its buildings and the layout of its streets reflect indigenous traditions and foreign influences, which gave rise to this unique vestige. One of the most interesting monuments is the Japanese bridge-pagode, a covered bridge built in 1593 to connect neighborhoods inhabited by Chinese and Japanese communities.
In addition, the village of Tra Qué which is located a few kilometers away from the old town of Hoi An is another place to visit. In this small village where only a few hundred inhabitants live, the main occupation is to cultivate all kinds of vegetables.
Hoi An offers its most beautiful sunsets from May to September. To learn more about this beautiful village, you can read our article on the visit of Hoi An .
