Would you like to discover the Dead Sea? So here are the most beautiful beaches in Jerusalem!

Holy City for the three monotheistic religions, Jerusalem is a must-see destination for all history lovers. But the city is also close to a stretch of water for the least astonishing: the Dead sea .

Known for its high salinity, it makes the joy of the wise swimmers who can remain naturally suspended in the waters. But the sea also holds its reputation for its virtues for health. Surrounded by mountains, it is certainly a must-see place when visiting Jerusalem.

Do you want to swim in the Dead Sea and enjoy its benefits and amazing properties? Then you are told in this article the most beautiful beaches near Jerusalem!

1. Kalia

From Jerusalem, three beautiful beaches stand side by side. The first and closest to Jerusalem is that of Kalia. It's only 25 minutes by car from Jerusalem. Kalia Beach is a typical beach on the banks of the Dead Sea, with excellent facilities, a restaurant and a bar, changing rooms and towel rental. You can sit at the edge of the Dead Sea, bathe in it and seduce you with natural mud.

In Kalia Beach, you will find mainly international tourists wishing to discover the amazing expanse of salt water that is the Dead Sea. For a more local atmosphere, we recommend the second beach of our list.

2. Biankini

As mentioned above, Biankini is a nearby beach of Kalia. It's just south of it. The beach of Biankini attracts mainly local tourists and families. It comes in the form of an oasis and a seaside resort of Moroccan style.

The place is very pleasant with a traditional Moroccan restaurant, a beautiful beach where to relax and enjoy the salty waters of the Dead Sea. Just be sure to avoid it during vacation periods in Israel. The beach is then crowded and the experience can be less pleasant.

3. Neve Midbar

The last beach to really mention our list is Neve Midbar. She is probably the youngest and most authentic. Many are the places to come here to celebrate, have fun and have a good time in a nice setting.

Would you like to enjoy a somewhat festive atmosphere? Then we recommend you come to Neve Midbar Beach to swim, take a drink and why not sympathize with other travellers.

On site you will find, in addition to the beach, some lawn areas with barbecues and a bar. Neve Midbar Beach, though young and comfortable, is surely the least commercial and the least frequented of these three beaches of Jerusalem. We recommend it warmly!

The alternative: hot springs

Unfortunately, with the exception of the three beaches mentioned above, the other famous beaches of the shores of the Dead Sea are closed because of dolines. These holes formed along the shores are dangerous. We recommend that you avoid the beaches of Ein Gedi and Mineral Beach for the moment closed.

However, it is always possible to enjoy the beautiful landscapes and the unique atmosphere of Ein Gedi. Ein Gedi is an oasis and an ancient city located on the western shore of the Dead Sea, south of the above-mentioned beaches. Nowadays, it is mainly a seaside resort, known for its few hotels offering spa treatments along the Dead Sea.

You can thus go to Ein Gedi Dead Sea Hot Springs , beautiful hot springs, to enjoy a charming cure. You can swim in a few natural pools.

For a more luxurious experience, you can also spend a day in a spa or even a few days. You will then be able to visit Ein Gedi, its natural reserve and the shores of the Dead Sea. You will then enjoy beautiful desert landscapes and incredible views!

You now have all the cards in hand for a swim in the most beautiful beaches of Jerusalem, and you play!
