There are so many things to see in the city light that we sometimes forget that the region is full of unsuspected beauty or other friendly places. In fact, this statement is aimed at both travellers and residents of the capital who often return to their favourite spots on the weekend. The walks around Paris are numerous, varied and at more or less long distance.

1. Disneyland Paris

Children love, adults are shared... Since the early 1990s, Disneyland Paris has remained one of the most popular Paris rides. This is the ideal place for a family escape moment with the children who are at the angels with their favorite cartoon characters.

But adults aren't left with attractions like Space Mountain or the many Russian mountains.

2. Arboretum de la Vallée-aux-Loups

Located in Châtenay-Malabry, the park was created at the end of the 18th century and is intended to be a top botanical garden. With its 2,500 trees and plants, the collection of the tree is indeed very rich. This is one of the beautiful walks around Paris.

The place is conducive to relaxation and rest, a real green bet! We feel so far from Paris... For literature enthusiasts, the park also includes the house of Châteaubriand.

3. Versailles

Versailles is a must visit around Paris. Of course, the city is marked by the old royal presence with its Castle as a spear iron, not to mention the magnificent outbuildings like gardens, the Trianon or the Queen's Hameau.

It is easy to spend the day taking for Louis XIV or Marie-Antoinette So much to see and places to land. But it would pass next to the city of Versailles which counts beautiful streets and a superb cathedral. An exciting day but don’t forget!

4. Enghien-les-Bains

Apart from the Paris suburbs, Enghien and its lake were created in 1850 following the discovery of the most sulphurous thermal springs in France. This status allows the city to host the only casino less than 100 km from Paris, a boon for the players!

5. Island of Impressionists

8. Fontainebleau and Vaux-le-Vicomte

Situated a few kilometers from Senlis, Chantilly can easily be visited the same day if you are trafficked. The castle of the city is its main attraction, a sublime architecture and a huge estate. It is one of the most beautiful walks around Paris that we love.

But in Chantilly, you can taste the cream of the same name which is indeed originating from the city. Your taste buds!

12. Montfort l’Amaury

A small medieval city of the Yvelines, Montfort l’Amaury is a great idea of strolling around Paris. With its castle and alleys, the city offers superb architecture and many places to restore.

For fans of Maurice Ravel, a renowned museum is dedicated to the composer.

13. Parc naturel régional du Gâtinais français et le château de Courances

Here is one of the best rides around Paris for those who want to get green. The park offers a variety of activities: hiking, leisure, museums... It's for all tastes!

Courances Castle is the main architectural attraction. Less known than its nearby Fontainebleau, it is easily visited thanks to its small format and the tea room with its wooden beams is splendid!

With its magnificent cathedral, Chartres is a beautiful walk around Paris. Located close to 1:30 a.m. on the road, we still have the time to explore the small historic city centre that we love very much.

The walk along the Eure with the fortifications of the old Chartres is very pleasant in good weather. A nice place for a good coffee on the terrace.

18. Reims

Historic city of royal France, it is in Reims that the sacrament of the king takes place for ten centuries. This tradition allowed the city to embellish royal buildings and a wonderful cathedral.

From all walks around Paris, Reims is a reference for architecture and the history of France!

19. Orleans

The city of Jeanne d’Arc has unrecognized wealth, including its floral park that we love very much. La Pucelle is very present, from her equestrian statue to the house where she spent a few months, transformed into a museum, the city has eyes only for her!
