But what is less known is that Saint-Emilion is also one of the most beautiful medieval cities in France. Losing in its paved alleys is a dive in the past and places are absolutely magnificent. It is even possible to visit the catacombs of the commune.

Arcachon is certainly one of the must-see tours around Bordeaux. The basin is famous for its Pilat dune, the highest sand dune in Europe, offering beautiful views over the basin. A beach is at the bottom of the dune... but you'll have to go back, it'll make you legs! Another beach is on the right of the dune, without you having to climb.

The city of Arcachon has the originality of being divided into four seasonal districts that have little in common. The city of winter is the one with the most charm with especially Villa Chopin. For a drink on the beach, head to the summer city! If you have children, there are three amusement parks located in Gujan, a few minutes from Arcachon: Aqualand, KID PARK and La Coccinelle.

We finish our selection for a visit to Bordeaux culture. The reason is that there are two rather unique museums: the Wine Museum and the Tobacco Museum. Located in a 12th century cloister, the first traces the history of local wines. As for the second, it allows to know the culture of tobacco in the region.

The eve city offers beautiful walks in the middle of the flowery alleys and we especially love the small houses with doves. Finally, if you are vehicular, the visit of the original castle of Monbazillac, surrounded by vineyards, is not to be missed.
