Bangkok public buses are available at the Airport Transport Center, which you will reach via a free shuttle. You can choose between two bus lines to reach the centre. However, you will have to complete your journey by another way of locomotion, as none goes to Pathum Wan. However, no panic, you'll still be close.

  • Line 551: operating 24 hours a day is the most convenient and fastest of the lines. It passes through the express way and its terminus is in Victory Monument. From there you can take the BTS and reach Siam station.
  • Line 552: it passes through the longest street in Thailand, Sukhumvit Road. Go to the Ekkamai stop and take the BTS to Siam station.
  • Bonus: line S1 : this bus line set up in 2017 is to be taken at level 1 and door 7 of the airport. It does not serve the centre of Bangkok, but it is still important to talk about it. Why? Simply because it is the most convenient line to reach Khao San Road. Therefore, it is useful if you have decided to stay in this festive and tourist street, or nearby. It is also the line that then joins the Grand Palais and its neighbourhood with the most cultural and historical interests. Indeed, you will find Wat Pho, Wat Arun and many other visits to do.

The Airport Link is the metro line that connects Suvarnabhumi Airport near the centre of Bangkok. To take it, simply reach the lowest level of the airport (level B). If you already have Thai coins, an automatic terminal will allow you to buy your ticket. If not, go to the Airport City Link and ask the caisse host(s) to the Phaya Thai station.

Know that there is a second metro line, which uses the same route. However, it only stops at two stations (Makkasan and Phaya Thai). Her name is Survanabhumi Express Airport and is also at level B. Once you arrive at Phaya Thai, you can take the airline (BTS) to Siam station.
