The curfew is intensifying in France and 54 departments are now involved in this measure against the Covid pandemic.

Less than an hour’s drive south Lisbon , Sesimbra is a fishing village nestled in a year at the foot of the southern slope of the Serra da Arrábida. Its beach with crystal clear waters attracts lisboets but also more and more tourists. For this holiday in La Toussaint, however, you should escape the hordes of tourists. The island of Gozo, one of the three islands of the Maltese archipelago, is pleasantly discovered in autumn thanks to a mild Mediterranean climate. Note that at present, 16 European countries are accessible to travellers from France without conditions that are too restrictive. Some countries do not require a form to complete, or a PCR test to be performed before arrival. These destinations are to be preferred if you want to spend a holiday from La Toussaint abroad, while staying in Europe. These are: Spain, Luxembourg, Croatia, Greece, Portugal, Poland, the Czech Republic, Bulgaria, Sweden, Malta, Austria, Italy, Albania, Montenegro, Serbia and Northern Macedonia.

Countries close to France such as Germany, Belgium, Ireland and the Netherlands and Switzerland impose too restrictive conditions for most French departments. Going on vacation in these countries is complicated without going through quarantine.

Some European countries such as Russia, Finland, Denmark, Hungary and Cyprus simply closed their border.

Now 54 departments are involved in curfews. However, it is important to note that holidays and trips between regions are outside the curfew. Indeed, Emmanuel Macron said this Wednesday that these restrictions will not prevent the French from leaving for the holidays in Toussaint. As everywhere else, it will be necessary to continue to respect the rules not to spread the virus.

Travel by car, train, airplane and other means of transport are therefore permitted between departments and regions.
