The curfew is intensifying in France and 54 departments are now involved in this measure against the Covid pandemic.
If you come to read this article, you certainly ask the question: where to pass the holiday of the Toussaint ? Where to go to escape these new restrictions related to the Coronavirus pandemic? In which area spend your vacation to be free to go out in the evening and enjoy your holidays?

From Paris: Montenegro

There are direct flights between Paris and Podgorica, your gateway to Montenegro. Country in vogue, this holiday of the Toussaint will be an excellent time to discover the country without the crowd. All national parks and hiking trails are open. The advantage is that the country is not great. You can therefore organize your stay to visit the most emblematic sites of Montenegro like the mouths of Kotor, real entrance gates, or the peninsula of Sveti Stefan, former fishing village. From Toulouse : Sesimbra, Portugal

Less than an hour’s drive south Lisbon , Sesimbra is a fishing village nestled in a year at the foot of the southern slope of the Serra da Arrábida. Its beach with crystal clear waters attracts lisboets but also more and more tourists. For this holiday in La Toussaint, however, you should escape the hordes of tourists. Traditional fishing remains the main activity of the city, which provides all the surrounding taverns.
Enjoy your weekend or week in the vicinity of Sesimbra to explore Serra da Arrábida . Natural park since 1976, it covers more than 10,000 hectares. On the programme, hiking with panoramic ocean views, water sports (stand-up paddle, kayaking, boat trips...), and wild beaches.

Turned to the Loire and its estuary, vivified by the oceanic influence, the capital of the Pays de la Loire values its heritage while letting itself gain by the joy of living. Very friendly, it makes a large place for art, parties and urban poetry.
Take advantage of the flights from Montpellier to visit the famous machines of the island, the Château des ducs de Bretagne that houses the Musée d’Histoire de Nantes, or enjoy in order to escape to La Baule or Noirmoutier.

From Lyon: Gozo Island, Malta

The island of Gozo, one of the three islands of the Maltese archipelago, is pleasantly discovered in autumn thanks to a mild Mediterranean climate. Despite its small size, Gozo offers a wide variety of experiences and attractions. The ferus of history must absolutely visit the megalithic temples to UIHJgantija. The recently restored Il-Kastell fortress, which dominates the small capital of Gozo, Victoria ( Ir-Rabat ), is one of Malta’s most beautiful curiosities.

Note that at present, 16 European countries are accessible to travellers from France without conditions that are too restrictive. Some countries do not require a form to complete, or a PCR test to be performed before arrival. These destinations are to be preferred if you want to spend a holiday from La Toussaint abroad, while staying in Europe. These are: Spain, Luxembourg, Croatia, Greece, Portugal, Poland, the Czech Republic, Bulgaria, Sweden, Malta, Austria, Italy, Albania, Montenegro, Serbia and Northern Macedonia.
Countries close to France such as Germany, Belgium, Ireland and the Netherlands and Switzerland impose too restrictive conditions for most French departments. Going on vacation in these countries is complicated without going through quarantine.
Some European countries such as Russia, Finland, Denmark, Hungary and Cyprus simply closed their border.
French destinations to escape curfew
Now 54 departments are involved in curfews. However, it is important to note that holidays and trips between regions are outside the curfew. Indeed, Emmanuel Macron said this Wednesday that these restrictions will not prevent the French from leaving for the holidays in Toussaint. As everywhere else, it will be necessary to continue to respect the rules not to spread the virus.
Travel by car, train, airplane and other means of transport are therefore permitted between departments and regions.
