Founded in 1903 by Gheorghios Arghyros, the estate Argyros cellars are the most famous cellars on the island. Situated on more than 30 hectares, the vineyard has a special feature of being planted according to the method “koulara” (the vines in round, on land and not on foot) below the mountain, on soils of volcanic rocks, sandstones and shale.
Atypical in comparison to the French tradition, vines are discovered during enriching and detailed visits. At the end, you can taste some wines like the Assyrtiko with its notes of lemon, the Aidani and its aromas of fishing and apricot or Mavrotragano and its taste of cooked fruit.
