What is the price of a kitesurfing session in Paros?

The price varies according to the number of hours of training and the formula selected, namely private or semi-private courses (two students and one instructor). Similarly, rates increase slightly in August. For a simple initiation of about 1h30 (up to three people), the price is about 90€ per person. The prices of private courses, they oscillate between 80€ and 120€ per hour, depending on the desired number of courses.

Do you prefer to opt for semi-private courses? Count between 250€ and 300€ per person for 4 hours of courses spread over 2 or 3 days. Rates for longer-term courses vary between 460€ and 690€ per person for 8, 9 or 13 hours in 4 to 7 days.

Do you want to enjoy the best conditions? There is a VIP formula, between 130€ and 150€ per hour and per person. This allows you to be assisted by a motor boat, then coached and filmed by a monitor, away from the crowd. For each course, all necessary kitesurf equipment is included.

On the rental side, a classic quality equipment, excluding insurance, will cost you between 35€ and 50€ per hour, depending on the chosen formula. A pack 480€ the week is proposed, except during the month of August. In addition to this rate, insurance (optional) fees are added by approximately 5€ per hour of rental. In addition, additional costs may be required for the rental of a combination or helmet, for example.

You can get your IKO certification card at the end of your internship. The IKO 3 level certifies that you are an autonomous kitesurfer and then allows you to rent equipment in clubs around the world.

You will be welcomed by a professional team·le·s directly to the kitesurf club. In order to allow you to start in the best conditions and to know the safety rules of this sport, the courses start with theory, on the beach. Once briefed and equipped, you will be ready to put yourself in water. At each output, an experienced monitor will be there to mentor and advise you.

Rental

The navigation space, about 200 metres wide, extends over a kilometre between the two islands. This area is dedicated to the practice of kitesurfing. The Meltem is a wind that generally settles on all of Greece from mid-May to late September. From the North, it blows between 12 and 35 knots . When Meltem Strongly blows on the island, as is often the case in summer, it is then recommended to head to the west coast of the island. Pounda, the main spot in Paros, faces the small island of Antiparos.

It is then ideally located in a wind corridor. Spot very well known and frequented, especially in August, do you expect to cross the world on water! The wind gradually rises in intensity at the end of the morning and reaches its maximum during the afternoon. In July and August, there is an average of 28 days with a wind greater than Force 3. If you start, May, June and September are undoubtedly the best. Not only are the conditions softer, but also the kitesurf spot of Paros is less frequented.

From mid-July to September, the water temperature oscillates between 23°C and 25° , allowing you to navigate in short and light combination, or even in bathing suit. However, during the months of May and June, water temperature rarely exceeds 19°C. It is then recommended to attach a long 4/3 (4 mm thick torso and 3 mm to the rest of the body) or a shorty.
