5. The little brothers of the poor of Montpellier

Since 1946, the little brothers of the poor have accompanied, in a fraternal relationship, people over 50 years of age suffering from serious diseases, poverty, loneliness or exclusion. Through their actions, they allow the elderly, isolated and often alone to taste life and become part of the world around them.
An approach supported by the section based in Montpellier, which conducts sustainable actions around three social missions: accompanying, acting collectively and testifying/warning.

The Unicef was created in 1946 to help the world’s children and improve their living conditions. The organization is working on 5 major areas: girls’ education, vaccination and AIDS, child protection, health of newborns and gender equality.

The SPA in Montpellier was founded in 1934 to protect abused animals. Since 2010, the refuge based in Villeneuve-lès-Maguelone, close to Montpellier, has been doing great work to collect the abandoned, maltreated or wandering animals (including dogs and cats).
Their missions are based on the care of abandoned animals and the rescue of untreated or roaming animals. The aim is then to adopt the animals collected at the shelter, in the best possible conditions.

9. The Pattounes of the Heart

This small association of about 20 volunteers was created in February 2013. It helps the many abandoned and homeless cats in Montpellier and its surroundings. A remarkable work is done to protect these cats, often defenseless.
Thus, found cats are sterilized, fed and treated so that they can be adopted by host families. So that this association continues to support this beautiful cause, all help is welcome!
