This project identifies seven incredible urban spaces on the planet in order to highlight the beauty of human heritage: they are the Internet users who chose them.
Bernard Weber likes to make rankings about the treasures we find in our world. After listing them new wonders in terms of monuments , and new wonders of nature , he decided to make another online vote to elect the most remarkable cities on Earth. The result in alphabetical order was published in 2014 on its website New Seven Wonders Foundation, we let you discover it in this article.
1. Beirut, Lebanon
Beirut is the capital of Lebanon and one of the most old cities in the world still inhabited. It has about 360,000 inhabitants, 50% of the country's population. Between the Mediterranean Sea and the mountains, this metropolis is very dynamic especially thanks to its many activities at night and its tourist activity . It is in the centre of the Middle East, which explains its various cultural, architectural and commercial and financial influences. However, the city is experiencing religious tensions leading to attacks.

2. Doha, Qatar
Doha is the capital of Qatar and can literally translate into "the great tree" or “the sticking tree” . Located on the Persian Gulf, it houses with its close suburbs more than 80% of the country's population. North of the Doha Corniche stands the city’s most beautiful skyscrapers and its Islamic art museum shows its great cultural wealth.

3. Durban, South Africa
Durban is a city of South Africa that is on the edge of the Indian Ocean. This seaside resort is unique in the country, especially because there are multiple cultures in terms of architecture, populations, arts, music... The beaches are omnipresent in the landscape and host many travelers every year.

4. Havana (Cuba)
Havana is the capital of Cuba: it is the financial center of the country and has a large port. The architecture of the old city recalls the colonial era of the Spanish in the territory, the contrast is striking with the greatness of the new quarters. The Cuban province is very festive: music and dance (salsa) rhythm the days and Nights inhabitants.

5. Kuala Lumpur (Malaysia)
Kuala Lumpur is the most populous city in Malaysia (7,300,000 in 2010). Its economic power is expressed through the various skyscrapers, buildings and mega-projects that multiply in the metropolis. While originally it was only a bamboo hut camp, the exploitation of its tin resources enabled it to develop rapidly. Today it is a destination that attracts many tourists.

6. La Paz (Bolivia)
La Paz is the highest capital in the world: it is the highest administrative place in the country because the executive and legislative power is found there. A cable car allows you to move between several cities and admire the landscape in height, such as the beautiful snowy mountains that rise on the horizon. La Paz is the starting point for many hikes around the area.

7. Vigan (Philippines)
This capital remained as it was when the Spanish settlers stayed there, so it is a great cultural and historical place in the Philippines. It has beautiful paved streets and its architecture blends European and Asian styles. Some buildings have kept the same functions as at the time: downstairs there are shops, while the upper floors serve the habitat.
