1. Les Anses-d’Arlet

As part of the best French village in 2020, the city of Anses-d’Arlet is certainly one of the most beautiful villages in Martinique. Nestled on the South Caribbean coast of the island, on the famous " Route des Anses", it is a small corner of paradise calling to the farniente decomplexed. Appreciated for its succession of beaches as pretty as each other, it also offers an idyllic setting for stays by the water.
Extend your towels on the long white sandy beach of Grande-Anse lined with bars and restaurants. Discover the small creek of Anse Dufour where a few colored boats are scattered, sink into a lush vegetation and find — loved between two cliffs — the only black sand beach of the South: the well known Anse-Noire.
2. Sainte-Anne

Set the course on the extreme south of the island and make a sunny stop in the beautiful city of Sainte-Anne. Has its 22 kilometers of stretch of blond sand lined with coconut trees, it is the Eldorado of the naps in the sun.
Take your coolers to the Salines beach, a real local institution! We go there on Sunday, with friends or with family, we relax, we enjoy it. Then we end up tasting with sacro-saints Chichi .
But more than its turquoise waters, Sainte-Anne has a myriad of paradise landscapes. Visit its coastal forest and mangrove thanks to a course on pilots. Rest by boat to the ornithological reserve of the islands of Sainte-Anne and admire its sumptuous Savane des Pétrifications, a desert of about ten hectares.
3. The Carbet

Located between Bellefontaine and Saint-Pierre, where the mountains throw themselves majesticly into a scintillating emerald sea, the Carbet bears the name of the largest squares of ancient Caribbean villages and is the testimony of a past as rich as enlivened.
Immerse yourself in its unique atmosphere by approaching the beautiful village with traditional houses and historic buildings such as the Slave Foot, the 18th century church dedicated to Saint Jacques and the tomb of the Spanish lady.
Take a bowl of fresh air in the heart of its green environment. Then spend afternoons on one of its grey sand beaches. After a quality swim, enjoy a delicious coconut sorbet. Or taste the many specialties based on seafood in a restaurant the feet in the water.
4. The Three Islands

Ideal for endless sunbathing sessions on hot sand, this seaside resort on the South coast of Fort-de-France Bay is the largest tourist hub in Martinique. From Anse-Mitan to Anse-à-l’Âne, to Pointe du Bout, it is the perfect place for all people looking for an escape between coconut trees and water activities.
During your visit, don’t hesitate to take the path of reddish dust leading you to what was once the most important district of the Trois-Iles: the Village of the Pottery. Originally, it was an important place for the production of tiles and pottery. It has thus become a mandatory stop today to discover the craft workshops and the work of creators. Perfect to take a souvenir of the island with flowers.
5. Saint-Pierre

Possed at the foot the famous Montagne-Pelée , Saint-Pierre is the former administrative capital of Martinique. Once nicknamed the “Little Paris”, it was the first place where settlers settled on the island on a lasting basis. He experienced a tremendous development thanks to the sugar industry and the slave trade. His ascension was stopped on 8 May 1902 after a volcanic eruption of the most deadly.
With nearly 30,000 victims and a city shaved by the lava, it was for a long time striped of the map of the French communes. She was reborn from her ashes around the 1920s. And since 1990, it has been classified as the city of Art and History.
Visit its remains, climb the original staircases of Monte-au-Ciel Street and mark a stop at the Cyparis cachot that sheltered one of the only survivors of the terrible catastrophe. If its picturesque alleys can charm the visitor, its seabeds also make their happiness with their myriad of wrecks that sank during the eruption.
6. The Diamond

A true little gem of Martinique, the Diamond owes his name to the great rock in the equivocal form facing his coastline. It is one of the favourite tourist destinations on the island.
Cross the town, watch its views of all beauty and explore its roads by car. Lie on its long beach of white sand shaded by grape trees and almond trees. Take care of the waves by surfing, discover its underwater fauna and flora. Don’t hesitate to make a cultural stop at the Cap 110 Memorial on the Anse-Cafard.
To take height, realize the ascent of the morne Larcher. Once at the top, you can enjoy a breathtaking view of the bay and its famous rock.
7. The Marin

Giving both on the Caribbean coast and the Atlantic coast, the Marin is considered the most beautiful bay of Martinique. Located on the road of the most beautiful beaches of the island, in the South, it is also renowned for its marina. The largest nautical base of the Caribbean, the latter attracts no less than 55,000 boaters looking forward to its constant animation.
Ideal for a nice walk between sailboats and restaurants, it is also the ultimate starting point for a catamaran ride. 8. Grand’Rivière

Dive into the heart of the tropical forest, cross the longest and highest bridge of the island overlooking the Potiche River and land at the end of the world, where the vertiginous cliffs throw themselves into a magnificent green water. Wild and away from everything, Grand’Rivière is an ideal place to disconnect and rejuvenate in an abundant nature.
Lose yourself in the narrow streets of one of the smallest villages in Martinique, contemplate the typical houses of its town and immerse yourself in the atmosphere full of authenticity that reigns there. Follow the sea air and walk along its colorful port where the great local fishermen’s ballet beats the seaside.
With a little luck, when the weather is right, you can admire the island of Dominica from the dam. For a vivifiant swim, go to the call of the fresh waters of the Grande Rivière through the city. Finish on a greedy note by tasting, why not, a lobster or titiri accras.
9. Tartane

Situated on the Caravelle peninsula, Tartane is a small fishing village dependent on the city of Trinidad. Despite his strong tourist attendance, he was able to keep his singular charm of which it is difficult to pass once we made a stop there.
