1. Pico del Teide

Of course, this hike in Tenerife is long and difficult. The temperature variation between the foot and the top can also be very important. Nevertheless, this is probably the most beautiful trail in the country and a magical discovery.

This trek in Tenerife takes you to the highest point of Spain, the Pico del Teide, an active volcano. Some hikers climb up in two days in order to admire the sunrise from the top.

Throughout the road, the landscapes pass from classic to unreal. The approach to the summit is turning us into another world. The view is lunar, as if a cataclysm had all devastated. Located near the Pico del Teide, the Chinyero volcano is a nice hike in Tenerife to reach the crater of a volcano whose last eruption dates from 1909. This trek in Tenerife passes through landscapes as diverse as a pine forest followed by lava trails from previous eruptions.

A well-marked hike to Tenerife, this trail from the north of the island is one of the most popular on the island. Passing through the El Palmar valley, the circular road is divided into two parts.

The first, difficult, goes through the only laurel forest in Tenerife. The second, easier, is the one that offers the magnificent views of the ocean and the surrounding summits. The panorama from Baracán is the most beautiful rewards for the efforts provided.

The reward of effort is the second part of the trail, close to the volcano crater. From above, the view of the Teide is sublime and, if the cloud cover is absent, that on the islands of Gran Canaria and La Gomera is fantastic!

7. La Caleta – El Puertito

10. Chabuco Canal

The Chabuco Canal hike offers an incredible trail that will provide you with adrenaline! The departure is quite difficult since you will almost do all the positive denial at the beginning of the hike. But the rest is well worth the effort: the trail offers to walk cliffs with breathtaking views within the Rural Park of Anaga.

Your ride is playful because you’ll pass a dozen bridges with streams as well as a dozen tunnels dug to the rock. You have to be vigilant on the final since the path is not marked.

11. Afur – Playa de Tamadite – El Chorro
