1. Lac d’Hossegor

We start this article with a very well-known place: the city of Hoosgor. But let’s delay the beaches filled with surfers to migrate a little further to a gem of the Landes coast: the sea lake of Hossegor. The peculiarity of this lake is that it lives at the rhythm of the tides. Discover through your steps an exceptional fauna and flora bathed in the perpetual movements of this stretch of water.
Throughout the path, many panels explain to walkers the origin of the marine lake, its history and its characteristics. On the shore, there are reddish tile villas playing hide-and-seek among the large pine trees. Real stains of vivid colours secretly sheltered in this forest ocean.
After your walk, immerse yourself in the warm waters of one of the four beaches of this green landscape. 2. The current of Huchet

It is in the heart of the Landes Amazon that the current of Huchet winds on 12 km from Lake Leon to the Atlantic Ocean. During your walk in this natural reserve, observe the lush vegetation bloom in the marshes, peatlands and dunes. The ornithological ferus will distinguish with their twins the 200 species that live in this forest paradise.
Any buckets in the water? Probably an otter that has fun surrounded by cistude turtles. Nevertheless, it remains important to follow the path well so as not to stifle this impressive ecosystem.

6. Lac Marin de Vieux-Boucau-les-Bains

A lot of hikes in the Landes take place around iconic lakes in the region. Marin Lake in Vieux-Boucau-les-Bain is no exception. For the little story, it is called Lake Marin, because its salt water flows directly into the Atlantic Ocean. It is also a good alternative to the dangerous waves of the Côte d’Argent, especially for young children.

7. Circuit de la Basse Vallée de l’Adour

The footpath of the Lower Valley of L’Adour is among the nature and views of the river Adour and Gave Réunis. This small hike in the Landes simply takes you to the heart of the Landes area.
Here, at the pace of your steps, discover hilly landscapes composed of meadows, corn fields and even kiwis orchards. A real one melting-pot nestled in the beautiful Sainte-Marie-de-Gosse.
The Adour and Gave Réunis follow their bed until they meet in Horgrave, thus offering a magical view to hikers. We advise you to stop in order to admire the beautiful castle of the Bec. It is located just at the confluence of the two rivers in front of a splendid panorama.
8. Mont-de-Marsan

Once it is not customary, pines are left for a visit to the streets of Mont-de-Marsan. This one-hour walk starts in a green setting: Parc Jean-Rameau. Here are exceptional plants, sculptures by Charles Despiau and a Japanese garden. Guaranteed change!
This route then takes you to discover the treasures of the city to the three rivers. Nestled between La Tuze and the Midou, the historic centre reveals its medieval streets, ancient ramparts and bourgeois houses. Take the time to stroll between iconic sculptures and local gastronomy.
9. GR 65 steps 27 : Aire-sur-l’Adour in Arzacq

GR65 or path of Santiago de Compostela is no longer to present. If its course extends over 1 135 km Geneva in Ronsevalles, several steps remain accessible in the southwest.
