Let's start with a classic bike ride in Bordeaux: the banks of the Garonne. Fully redesigned, the banks are indeed conducive to family outings, easy to access for all, and especially nice (and reassuring). You may have to slalom a little between the pedestrians in a place, but nothing more.

Named in honour of a former winner of the Tour de France, the Roger Lapébie track leaves the centre of Bordeaux, Place Stalingrad. It will allow you to go on several dozen kilometres of green track towards Latresne, Sadirac, Créon, and to Sauveterre-de-Guyenne.
Don’t let yourself be impressed by the 55 km announced: it is perfectly possible to adapt this bike ride to Bordeaux according to your wishes and level. We doubt that during a bike ride around Bordeaux, vineyards and castles will be part of the game. This is exactly the theme of this beautiful exit from Villenave-d’Ornon, south of Talence (30 minutes in transport, 18 minutes by car), to discover the prestigious name Pessac-Léognan.
Several famous castles punctuate the itinerary, so it is quite possible to embark on this walk during the day, with one or more visits on the way. Be careful not to force too much on tastings!

Very disappointing, this exit is only 8 minutes from TER station Saint-Jean, via the station of Bassens. With the bikes on board, you will have no trouble catching the loop and going to Saint-Louis-de-Montferrand, on the banks of the Garonne, to discover the landscapes of the Presqu’ Island.
