A market is traditionally a place where you can buy many things. There are different themes: flower market, animal market, poultry market, wine market, textile market... and many more. Here are the 10 markets in the world where you must go absolutely for the holidays! Between traditional markets and other more surprising there will be for all tastes.

1. La Boqueria in Barcelona

The Boqueria market to Barcelona is a place of 800 stands in bright colours. Charcuterie, fish, fruits and vegetables, spices, cheeses, wines, are examples of products you can find there. 2. The Rungis market in France

At 7 km south of Paris, Rungis’ MIN (National Interest Market) is the world’s largest fresh agri-food market. If this is more for professionals, the general public has access to 5 pavilions: tide, butchery, dairy products, fruits and vegetables as well as flower hall.

3. The souks of Marrakech

The souks of Marrakech are traditional Eastern markets of the old city Marrakech . It is one of the main places of trade and tourism in Morocco. If you go there, poultry, spices, aromatic herbs, Moroccan pastries, tajine dishes, tea services, clothes, babouches, carpets... will make your happiness. Remember to negotiate, this is part of the game.

The Camden market stands at London . It is composed of several major markets. There are mainly clothes, souvenirs and crafts. There are also furniture, make-up products and many food stands. These two Mexican markets have many handicraft products: pottery, textiles, Indian jewelry, and even small animals and chocolate! It is usually on Saturday the most lively day of the week. The Oaxaca market has been listed as UNESCO World Heritage since 1987. The market of Tlacolula is located 30 km east of Tlacolula and has the advantage of being little frequented by tourists.

7. Istanbul Grand Bazar

We'll meet again. Istanbul one of the world's biggest mess with more than 4,000 shops. It is organized by neighborhoods so that you can find yourself there more easily: jewellery, carpets, textiles, mosaics, silverware... a real cave with wonders! To go there, you pass through streets with arcades of all colors.

The Tsukiji market (name of the neighborhood) is located around 4am – 5am, at the dawn of the day. This fish market in Tokyo is the largest in the world with its 3000 tons of marine animals. It's open all week except Sunday. There are many different species.

9. Yau Ma Tei, Hong Kong market

Yau Ma Tei is an eccentric neighborhood. Its market develops around a temple which makes it its peculiarity. Kitchen utensils, precious stones, exotic fish, clothing, fruits, gadgets, these are examples of treasures found in Hong Kong.

This huge chip market is the largest in Thailand. It is open on the weekend from 9am to 6pm and showcases nearly 8,000 stands with plants, clothing, furniture, craftsmanship, shoes and many other things that will delight the whole family.
