Showing to a person we appreciate is done in various ways according to the regions of the world: kissing him in all his states.
As we could see, kissing on the mouth is not a universal practice, but then how do communities embrace each other around the world? Here are some answers: we will discover 7 ways to witness the affection in different countries. According to cultures, kissing can be something natural or an act quite taboo.
1. The French Kiss
The French Kiss is the kiss on the mouth that everyone knows. He has spread a lot in Europe and America thanks in particular to the various films that stage him. This romantic and sexual practice is very fashionable in 168 countries. It is a sensual and erotic act that allows to share many things between partners: saliva contains information about the health of the other, but also about its genetic heritage. It is used in sexual relations and allows to translate a sense of attraction and significant attachment.
2. The kiss "squimau"
As the Inuit are usually covered by the head at the foot due to extreme external temperatures on the ice, there is often only the tip of their nose that goes beyond. So, to kiss, instead of the traditional kiss on the mouth, they rub their nose against each other. This form of kiss is found in Alaska, Canada, North Russia, but also in Māori (New Zealand). In the cartoon Peter Pan, a scene shows this accolade.
3. Kissing in Africa
This continent presents various communities that do not have the same opinion on kissing. For some, showing affection or respect to a person passes through a kiss on the hand or on the forehead. For others, like the Tonga of Mozambique, it is a beastly and disgusting act. Finally, the peoples in Guinea do not know at all this form of demonstration.
4. The kiss "to Russian"
When you say we « embraces Russian » , it equates to a kiss on the mouth with a person of the same sex. Unlike in love, this one has nothing sentimental but means a bond of fraternity. It is an act that is registered in morals in Russia but tends to disappear. The government believes that this is a propaganda of homosexuality, while even the heads of state practised it to symbolize peace.
5. The Balinese kiss
In Bali, the kiss is a gesture that passes above all by the smell. To prove their love, couples stick their faces to feel their warmth and smell. It is a very special form of privacy with strong olfactory characteristics. There is, however, one exception at an event: every day after the new Hindu year, a group of girls and another of boys are gathered in public and join in the center of a place to kiss, but this time on the mouth.
6. The kiss of the papous
The papous are an indigenous community in New Guinea who practice kissing in a totally unique and surprising way. Indeed, couples do it "Mitataku" which consists of cutting his partner's eyelashes with his teeth!
7. No kisses in India or China
The great Bollywood films have many dances to express the emotions of the characters, but we see that the sex scenes are far from being banalized. It is simply because in this country, the kiss is a very taboo act. In India, as in China, it is forbidden to kiss publicly. For the people, it is something very shocking and vulgar that to engage in this kind of behaviour.
