The carnival of Salvador attracts more than 2 million participants each year for 85% Brazilians and therefore only 15% foreign. Still little known abroad, it is yet one of the biggest events in Brazil.
For 4 days and 4 nights the " Baianos are in the street dancing and singing. A street festival rather than a show like Rio. Moreover, many Brazilians prefer to go to Salvador during the carnival and leave that of Rio to foreigners.
25km of streets are reserved for Carnival for the event. Even inside Brazil, the “ Baianos “have for reputation to make the party all the time and be all the time out. Indeed, this city with a subtropical climate does not know winter and it is pleasant to live there.
Often announced as the "best party in the world", the carnival of Salvador is an event not to be missed!
