Dive sites in Thailand are clearly not what is missing. But Thai islands and beaches are so many that it can be difficult to make its choice. To help you see even clearer in clear waters, we present you three perfect places to dive into Thailand! Of course, these places are also worth if you only practice snorkeling!
The Similan Islands
The Similan Islands are certainly among the most beautiful in Thailand. And for cause, they are a little remote and thus escape mass tourism. Marine fauna as well as corals densely populate the seabed and can lead to impressive discoveries. To dive to the Similan, it is recommended to sleep in Khao Lak, a small family and chic seaside resort just 45 minutes by boat from these islands. In Khao Lak, several diving centers offer day trips for all levels.
You will discover dozens of very colourful fish species, unique corals and a very populated marine life. Indeed, the Similan Islands are classified as a natural reserve and are closed for more than five months per year, allowing wildlife to regenerate between May and October! Think about it when you book your vacation!

2. Koh Tao
Koh Tao is one of the best known islands of divers who come on vacation in Thailand, especially for the very low prices. Indeed, here we can pass her Open Water certificate for less than 300 euros!
In addition, the waters of Koh Tao are limpid and turquoise blue, and thus offer great diving opportunities. Among the species you can admire, there are raies, hatfish, or squids. There are several diving sites around the island: Koh Nang Yuan (photo) is one of the best known and easiest diving sites, perfect for novices, while other sites like Chumphon Pinnacle are reserved for experienced divers.

Koh Samui, a tourist island, ideal for couples, families or friends groups, can also be an excellent starting point for diving in Thailand. Indeed, the island is not far from the natural park of Ang Thong, which hosts virgin islands and an incredible underwater life. The archipelago is made up of 42 islands, composed of mangroves and tropical jungles. Underwater, whether diving or snorkeling, it is possible to observe sea turtles, redberries, pink anemones or sea sponges.
On each island you can easily find information and book your dive in advance. In fact, diving centres are multiplying and whether in Koh Samui, Koh Tao or Khao Lak, you will find excursions for all prices and levels!
