Les Menuires are a splendid winter sports station (and summer) of the Tarentaise valley. Located in Les Belleville, in the middle of the Savoie department, it celebrated its 55th anniversary in 2020 in the region Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes .

About four kilometers, the route includes 22 steep turns and surprising portions. There is no doubt that you will enjoy the sage at the Menuires, whether you come with family or friends.
Nordic skiing

Nordic skiing is one of the best outdoor activities to do at the Menuires. With 28 kilometers of cross-country ski trails, the resort is ideal for an introduction to this sport.
Popular in Northern Europe Canada or Russia , France is not yet with many northern areas scattered throughout the territory.
At the Menuires, you will have the chance to be able to rent the latest equipment and survey the carefully damped tracks. Ideal to burn the tasted fondue the day before, don't you think?
Ice dive

Ice diving is an outdoor activity to do at the Menuires that provides extreme sensations. Everything goes to Lake Lou, at an altitude of 2,035 m. A monitor will accompany your descent by a maximum of 15 to 20 minutes, under a thickness of ice of about 50 cm.
The temperature? Colder than your bath, normally: water is at 1°C maximum. A neoprene combination (sleeve!) will be provided, of course.
Once underwater, the show is insured. Multicolored light rays illuminate the dark waters of the lake, which have a dreamlike appearance. Ice diving is an absolutely unique experience: test if you have the courage!
Trap evening

Trapper evenings are organized in this lovely resort from December to April. More than an outdoor activity to do at the Menuires, it is a gourmet getaway through the estate. The goal? Take a hike in light snowshoes at night.
Just you, a monitor, snow and stars! The frame is fantastic, away from the sparkling lights of the centre of the station. Nordic atmosphere guaranteed! The little plus? A succulent dinner is planned to regain strength before returning home.
Simple and pleasant, this walk is clearly one of our favourites. We highly recommend it!
Construction of an igloo

The construction of an igloo is proposed by some high mountain guide. But it is possible to do this outdoor activity at the Menuires using the ESF monitors. An igloo is a shelter built from compressed snow cubes stacked on each other.
Building techniques must be respected so that the shelter does not fall on its occupants. This requires patience and skill but your instructor will let you know everything about these amazing immaculate dwellings.
Designed for a family audience, this enriching workshop will make the joy of children and adolescents.
Fatbike on snow

Take a mountain bike, turn the wheels, expand the frame and add two huge tires and an electric motor: you have a fatbike! These amazing machines allow you to cross the snowy expanses effortlessly.
The large tires prevent you from sinking into the snow, while the power supply will save your strength. Visit the heart of the resort to try out this outdoor activity at the Menuires: many fatbikes are available for rent.
Amusing and (a little) sporting, this winter leisure is quite suitable for transfers between friends.
Ski joëring

The ski joëring combines skiing and riding stables. Basically, you're ski-slided and dragged by a horse connected to your waist. This outdoor activity to do at the Menuires is quite playful. The advantage? You have no effort to provide, pardi!
A variant is also proposed in the station, the joëring luge. Same principle, but it is a sled that will serve you as a sliding support. The horses are adapted to your template: the smallest will be entitled to a cute pony, the tallest to a powerful horse.
